A Long Weekend and Time to Replenish

Another trading week has come and gone, this time with a little something for everyone-- some nice shorting opportunities on Monday and Tuesday, solid long plays on Thursday and Friday, and spirited action in momentum stocks throughout.

Staying glued to trading screens day in and day out can be mentally exhausting and take an insidious toll on the psyche. It's the weekend now, and a long one at that-- enjoy a change of scenery, relax, unwind, and replenish. Try to get some physical activity and spend time with friends and family if possible. The markets can be intoxicating, addictive, and all-consuming if you allow them to be. It's important to be able to detach from their influence when you need or want to, making very sure it's not the rest of the world you've unwittingly detached from somewhere along the way instead.

And after you've lounged and laughed for as long as you can stand it, check back here a little later in the weekend-- there just might be some charts and discussion posted for those in need of a quick fix. Nobody said you had to go cold turkey.
